Job summary

Asian Art Museum in San Francisco seeks an experienced Audio Visual Technician (On-Call/As Needed) to join the AV team. You will set up, operate and strike AV gear, provide front-line service at events, and coordinate online platforms such as Zoom and Streamyard.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related AV services experience; museum or higher-ed setting preferred.
• Experience supervising Zoom meetings, webinars and similar platforms.
• Knowledge of microphones, portable and installed sound, video projection, displays, Windows/Mac OS, PowerPoint/Keynote; lighting and staging equipment.
• Familiarity with Zoom, Facetime, WebEx; video streaming a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set/Operate/Strike audio visual equipment for events and programs.
• Provide customer service and represent the museum at public programs and events.
• Assist performers with audio mixing, stage monitors and mic placement; support digital video workflows.
• Assist clients with presentation software and virtual platforms (PowerPoint, Keynote, Zoom, Streamyard, etc.).
• Act as technical coordinator for Zoom, Streamyard and other online platforms.
• Maintain and troubleshoot digital displays and AV equipment in non-gallery spaces.
• Ensure safety and coordinate with staff, security and contractors during events.
