Job summary

Spotlight onsite audio-visual service is seeking a Part-Time Audio-Visual Technician in La Crosse, WI to assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of AV equipment at events. You will work under supervision to ensure equipment functions correctly and events run smoothly.

Responsibilities include setup, on-site operation, troubleshooting, and post-event shutdown, while maintaining inventory and adhering to safety protocols. Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience in audio-visual operations or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of audio-visual equipment including speakers, microphones, projectors, and screens.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them promptly.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with organizers and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and installation of AV equipment (speakers, microphones, projectors, screens).
• Operate AV equipment during events to maintain required sound, lighting, and video quality.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve them quickly to minimize disruptions.
• Take down and store AV equipment after events and maintain inventory.
• Maintain safety procedures and proper labeling of equipment.
• Communicate effectively with event organizers and staff to provide excellent service.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for next setup.
