Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to preserve the appearance and functioning of our apartment communities in Abilene, Texas.

You will perform make-ready tasks, service appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures, inspect buildings and equipment, keep a clean maintenance shop, and handle after-hours emergencies as assigned. Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance preferred.
• Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills are essential.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods; on-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the appearance and integrity of the apartment community.
• Ensure a clean, comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.
• Complete apartment make-ready procedures: painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing parts; replacing bulbs; checking/changing locks; cleaning.
• Inspect grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment; perform repairs with Manager approval.
• Maintain an organized maintenance shop and inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain curb appeal through lawncare and related tasks.
• Take after-hours emergency calls as assigned.
