Job summary

Wilhoit Properties, Inc. is seeking a Property Maintenance Technician to keep our apartment community in top condition.

You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operation and a comfortable living environment for residents and visitors. Responsibilities include making ready apartments, painting, servicing appliances, plumbing and electrical fixtures, repairing worn parts, replacing bulbs, checking locks, cleaning, and conducting regular inspections of grounds,

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge is essential.
• Electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills are essential for working on various projects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical appearance and integrity of the apartment community.
• Ensure clean and comfortable living environment for residents and visitors.
• Completes apartment make-ready procedures such as painting; servicing appliances, plumbing, and electrical fixtures; repairing old and faulty parts; replacing burnt-out light bulbs; checking/changing locks; and cleaning.
• Makes regular inspections of grounds, buildings, lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, and major equipment and performing repairs as necessary with the approval of the Property Manager.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized maintenance shop and keeping inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies.
• Maintain apartment community curb appeal by performing necessary lawncare
• Takes after-hours emergency calls, as assigned
