Job summary

Cumulus Media | Columbia, SC is seeking a part-time On Air Host for WNKT. The role requires co-hosting capabilities and a passion for audio, video, and social media. You will be a driven, resourceful problem solver in a dynamic entertainment setting.

The Host will work with the Brand & Content Leader to develop topics, features, and guests for 107.5 The Game and contribute content for other brand platforms, including live on-site broadcasts and social accounts.

Qualifications

• Preferred track record of success as a Content originator in a smaller market or college station.
• Strong social and digital experience.
• Ability to plan and organize, set priorities, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work with creative individuals as part of a team.
• Deep knowledge of sports and the sports fan lifestyle.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Strong production skills and knowledge of VOX Pro/Adobe Audition and Audacity.
• Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Must be flexible with work hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Live hosting and contribution to the show’s daily moment to moment content, sound and presentation.

Position Overview

Cumulus Media | Columbia, SC is searching for a part-time On Air Host for WNKT. Ideal candidates would have to be able to be prepared to co-host and/or be on the mic with the host. We hire people who are passionate about audio, video and social media and are driven, resourceful problem solvers who thrive in the evolving, diverse culture of the entertainment business. The successful candidate takes pride in their creativity and success of the overall content.

The Host will partner with their co-hosts and WNKT Brand & Content Leader (Program Director) to organize, develop, and suggest topics, features, and guests for 107.5 The Game (and The Game Network). The Host is also responsible for assisting with the daily developing of content for other brand platforms including video streaming, setting up and hosting live broadcasts on-site, as well as keeping the show’s social accounts relevant.
