Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Wayne & Holmes Counties in Ohio is seeking an OMJ Lab Instructor to guide job seekers at the OhioMeansJobs Lab. You’ll provide training, support, and workforce readiness to help clients gain employment skills.

You’ll lead workshops, conduct mock interviews, assist with resumes, and help clients navigate their OhioMeansJobs accounts, while coordinating with Goodwill and OMJ staff. The role emphasizes teamwork and client-centered service.

Qualifications

• College degree in a Human Services–related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability, or reliable transportation
• Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening

Responsibilities

• Provide job development and placement support for clients referred to the program
• Lead workshops and deploy online training to enhance job readiness
• Conduct mock interviews and assist clients with resume writing and job search skills
• Help clients navigate their OhioMeansJobs accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, Goodwill staff, OMJ staff, and WCDJFS partners
• Submit reports and documentation to the Workforce Development Services Director
• Serve as a backup driver for Goodwill programs as needed
