Job summary

Behavioral Health Solutions in Washington state seeks Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) for its Skilled Nursing Facility psychiatry team. You’ll deliver in-person psychiatric care, assess mental status, and craft treatment plans for geriatric residents.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy to prescribe controlled substances (DEA).
• 1 year of geriatric psychiatry experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess patients' mental status and diagnose DSM disorders to develop treatment plans.
• Utilize psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments as appropriate.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Behavioral Health Solutions is looking for qualified Advanced Psychiatric Practitioners (PMHNP, PA-C) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Psychiatry team in Washington. Our team of mental health treatment professionals specialize in providing comprehensive behavioral health services to the underserved geriatric population residing in Skilled Nursing and Long Term Care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide face-to-face psychiatric services to patients directly in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
• Assess the patient’s mental status based on symptoms.
• Appropriately diagnose DSM-V disorders and develop treatment plans.
• Apply appropriate medical decision-making skills for mental health issues including psychopharmacology options and non-pharmacological treatments.
• Staff clinical cases with psychiatrists.

Requirements

• Licensed in Washington by the Board of Nursing in good standing with a focus in psychiatry.
• Licensed by the Washington Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances (possession of a DEA)
• 1 year of Geri Psych Experience.
• 1 year providing treatment within Skilled Nursing Facilities and/or Acute Rehab Hospitals.
