Qualifications

• JD with active Texas license
• Minimum of three years drafting title opinions for lands in Texas
• Experience preparing unit-wide division orders with tract/allocation factors
• Ethical practice and client confidentiality essential

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Conduct oil & gas title examinations and draft title opinions highlighting defects or liens.
• Draft and negotiate contracts including leases and joint operating agreements.
• Stay informed on federal, state, and local laws affecting oil & gas transactions.
• Collaborate with litigation attorneys when needed to resolve disputes.
• Foster teamwork and ensure timely execution of complex transactions.
• Meet a quarterly billable target of 450 hours and pursue continuous learning.
• Support additional activities as priorities dictate.
