Job summary

Oliva Gibbs LLP in Texas is seeking an Oil and Gas Title Attorney to join our Texas team. This full-time role focuses on title examinations, drafting opinions, and due diligence for oil and gas transactions, including mergers and joint ventures.

You will work with senior attorneys in a hybrid schedule, serving clients nationwide, and contribute to regulatory compliance, contract drafting, and dispute resolution. A JD with Texas license and 3+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• JD with active Texas license.
• 3+ years drafting title opinions for Texas lands.
• Familiarity with division orders, tract and allocation factors.

Responsibilities

• Oil & Gas Title due diligence and title examinations.
• Draft title opinions noting defects, liens or issues.
• Conduct due diligence for M&A and joint ventures.
• Draft, review, and negotiate leases and joint operating agreements.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local laws.
• Collaborate with litigation attorneys when needed.
• Meet quarterly billable target of 450 hours.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Support other activities as required.
