Job summary

Oliva Gibbs PLLC is seeking an experienced Oil and Gas Title Attorney to join our Texas team on a full-time basis. The role focuses on title examinations, due diligence, and drafting opinions for properties across Texas, with collaboration on contracts and regulatory matters.

The ideal candidate will have a JD, active license, and at least three years of experience drafting title opinions. A hybrid office model is available for those in proximity to our offices.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active license to practice law.
Experience drafting title opinions covering lands in Texas or similar jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

Conduct title examinations to determine ownership of oil and gas properties.
Draft title opinions identifying defects, liens, or issues affecting ownership.
Perform due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures in oil & gas transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate leases, joint operating agreements, and purchase/sale agreements.
Stay updated on federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with litigation attorneys as needed and support cross-functional teams.
