Job summary

Buckeye Partners L.P. seeks a Project Manager II with experience in pipeline and/or terminal projects to join our team. The role manages projects from initiation through completion, coordinating design, engineering, construction, startup and closeout.

Responsibilities include planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contentious cost forecasting, plus leading meetings and ensuring proper documentation. Travel up to 30% requires hands-on leadership in a dynamic oil and gas environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or PMI PM Certification or 10 years of petroleum project experience.
• Experience across engineering, construction, and operations of pipeline, station, and terminal facilities.
• Up to 30% travel.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and plan projects: scopes, cost estimates, schedules and resource needs.
• Direct project execution across design, engineering, purchasing, construction, startup, commissioning and closeout.
• Evaluate changes, obtain approvals, and document scope/budget/schedule changes.
• Lead meetings and document minutes; coordinate downtime and startup with Operations and other departments.
• Manage large, multi-discipline projects and external engineering firms.
