Job summary

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Project Engineer to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX. The role involves leading the PMT, ensuring design and construction align with project specs, and coordinating with FEED contractors.

You will perform engineering evaluations, manage schedules and budgets, and support ITT development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection while adapting to tight deadlines and changing priorities. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field.
• Experience in multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities.
• Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function & project assignments.
• Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes.
• Strong leadership, influencing & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads & frequent changes in priorities.
• Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs.
• Excellent communication skills & ability to read, write & speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
• Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Reviews production, malfunction, and maintenance reports to determine or address problems.
• Provides technical support throughout the engineering process.
• Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
• Participates in the identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor.
• Coordinates the development of Capital Project Management System
• Coordinates the development of the Functional Interaction Plan
• Coordinates the project issues resolution process
• Coordinates change requests and endorses change authorization
• Ensures completion of the assigned work scope consistent with the Project Objectives
• Engages Project Team and functional resources to verify that design and construction are consistent with project specifications and standards
• Serves as the interface between the Project Team and Contractor
• Ensures smooth transitions between project stages
• Leads the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems
• Provides back-up support for the Project Manager as required
• Performs functions based on instructions and pre-established guidelines
• Performs primary job functions that do not typically require exercising independent judgment
