Responsibilities

• Support offshore project cost control including subsea contracts.
• Perform monthly cost forecasting, change management, and data analysis.
• Assist with cash calls, accruals, JVs, PO creation, and cost stewardship.
• Review contractor costs and provide SAP dashboard reporting.
• Coordinate with contractors and travel to Houston-area offices 1–2 days weekly.

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Project Controls Lead to work with a major oil and gas company on a 12-month contract in Spring, TX. Travel to Houston-area is required 1-2 days per week or every other week.

Position Summary

The Project Controls Lead will be responsible for supporting funded, execution-phase offshore oil & gas projects, including subsea contracts. The roles will support project cost control, including monthly cost forecasting, change management, contractor cost review, SAP dashboard reporting, cash calls, accruals, JVs, PO creation, and monthly stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Support project cost control for offshore oil & gas projects, including subsea contracts.
• Perform monthly cost forecasting, change management, and cost data analysis.
• Support cash calls, accruals, JVs, PO creation, and monthly cost stewardship.
• Review contractor costs and provide SAP dashboard reporting.
• Coordinate with contractors and travel to Houston-area contractor offices 1-2 days per week or every other week.
• Demonstrate strong initiative, communication, and independent problem-solving skills.
• Work as an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 6-15 years of experience in project controls and cost forecasting.
• Oil & gas experience preferred; infrastructure, nuclear, or pharma experience may be considered.
• Experience with project controls, cost forecasting, and/or similar project environments.
• SAP and Excel experience expected.
• Power BI experience is a nice to have, but not mandatory.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
