Job summary

Brunel Energy is recruiting a Planner/Scheduler to support a major oil and gas project in Hubbard, Texas on a long-term contract. The role focuses on developing and maintaining schedules, tracking progress, and communicating status to management and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in project planning, CPM knowledge, and experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project. The position requires strong Excel skills and the ability to coordinate with engineers, contractors, and field teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling or project controls.
• Experience supporting projects in oil and gas, energy, construction, industrial, or related industries.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules.
• Knowledge of CPM, schedule logic, milestones, dependencies, and schedule analysis.
• Experience with scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Experience with progress measurement, earned value, forecasting, or other project controls activities is a plus.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with schedule reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update project schedules throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review project activities, sequencing, logic, milestones, and dependencies.
• Monitor actual progress against planned and baseline schedules.
• Collect and incorporate progress updates from project teams and contractors.
• Identify schedule variances, potential delays, and critical activities.
• Perform schedule analysis and support recovery or mitigation planning.
• Participate in schedule review meetings and provide updates on project progress and milestones.
• Prepare schedule and progress reports for project management.
• Support project forecasting, planning, and schedule analysis.
• Maintain schedule data, activity codes, milestones, and project controls information.
• Integrate schedule information from different project functions and contractors.
• Communicate schedule status, risks, changes, and potential impacts to project stakeholders.
