Welding round carbon steel pipes to fittings and flanges during the night shift. The pipe welder uses specialized welding torches to join metal pieces to assemble and repair pipes. Responsibilities include performing pipe welds and repairs, setting up and maintaining welding equipment, and referencing blueprints and schematics to ensure specifications.
Minimum requirements include 1 year of pipe welding experience in a similar fabrication shop environment, with skills in GTAW, GMAW-RMD, FCAW, MIG, and TIG welding.
Compensation details include bi-weekly payments, with a single worksheet used for wage computation. Boarding and lodging are provided free for the first month, with affordable options thereafter.
The employer will deduct all legally required taxes and contributions from wages. Transportation and subsistence costs from the worker’s original location to the workplace will be reimbursed or provided if the worker completes at least 50% of the employment period, and return transportation costs will be covered if the worker completes the employment or is dismissed early.
Daily transportation to the worksite is provided. The employer will reimburse visa and related fees incurred by H-2B workers in the first week. All necessary tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided free of charge, and on-the-job training will be available if applicable.
