American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking an experienced Market Leader for Structural in Ohio.

You will lead the local structural engineering practice across Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, and Columbus, directing project pursuits and client development. This role combines technical leadership with business development, mentoring staff, and building relationships with architects, developers, and owners to expand the firm's Ohio presence and deliver high-quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• PE license with ability to obtain licensure in Ohio.
• About 12+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Experience managing projects from proposal to construction administration.
• Experience developing scopes, fees, budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and proposals.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Broad experience with multiple building types, structural systems, and construction materials.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to establish and grow the structural engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering services within the target market, serving as the primary local contact for building-related structural projects.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan in collaboration with the Structural Practice Leader, design center leadership, and business development staff.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, developers, owners, and industry partners to generate repeat business.
• Lead project pursuits including client meetings, project strategy, scope development, fee development, proposal preparation, interviews, and follow-up.
• Manage structural engineering projects from proposal through construction administration, including project planning, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, financial performance, and project closeout.
• Provide technical leadership for structural projects.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, BIM staff, project managers, and technical leaders across multiple design centers to deliver high-quality projects.
• Review structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and deliverables to ensure technical quality, constructability, coordination, and compliance with company standards.
• Represent American Structurepoint within the local engineering and construction community through professional organizations, networking, and industry involvement.
• Recruit, mentor, develop, and lead structural engineering staff as the practice expands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
