American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Market Leader in Structural for Ohio. You will lead local structural engineering efforts, build client relationships, and drive growth across Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, Columbus, and surrounding areas.

The role requires a PE license, 12+ years of experience, and entrepreneurial leadership to expand the practice. On-site opportunities in multiple OH markets with a collaborative design culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• PE license with ability to obtain licensure in Ohio.
• 12+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design.
• Experience managing structural projects from proposal through construction administration.
• Experience developing scopes, fees, budgets, staffing plans, and schedules.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships that generate repeat business.
• Broad experience with multiple building types, structural systems, and construction materials.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to collaborate with architects, owners, contractors, developers, multidisciplinary teams, and junior staff.
• Entrepreneurial mindset to establish and grow practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering services within the target market, serving as the primary local contact for building-related projects.
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan with leadership and business development staff.
• Build and maintain relationships to generate repeat business.
• Lead project pursuits including client meetings, strategy, scope and fee development, proposals, interviews, and follow-up.
• Manage projects from proposal through construction administration, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and closeout.
• Provide technical leadership for structural projects.
• Collaborate with architects, BIM staff, project managers, and leaders across design centers.
• Review calculations, drawings, specifications for quality and coordination.
• Represent firm in engineering community through organizations.
• Recruit, mentor, develop staff as the practice expands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
