Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Market Leader to establish and grow its structural engineering presence across Ohio markets including Cleveland, Akron, Cincinnati, and Columbus.

You will lead local projects, build client relationships, and mentor a growing team of engineers. The role requires a PE license, 12+ years of experience, and a strong track record in proposal development and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field mandatory
• PE license with ability to obtain licensure in Ohio
• 12+ years of structural engineering experience focused on building design
• Experience managing structural projects from proposal through construction administration
• Experience developing project scopes, fees, budgets, staffing plans, schedules, and proposals
• Proven ability to establish and maintain client relationships that generate repeat business
• Broad experience with multiple building types, structural systems, and construction materials
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering services within the target market and serve as the local contact for building projects
• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan with leadership and business development staff
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, developers, owners and partners to generate repeat business
• Lead project pursuits including client meetings, strategy, scope, and fee development
• Manage projects from proposal through construction administration including planning, budgeting, scheduling and closeout
• Provide technical leadership for structural projects across design centers
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, BIM staff, PMs and leaders to deliver high-quality work
• Review calculations, drawings, specs for quality, constructability and compliance
