Job summary

Mount Sinai Offsite Licensed Practical Nurse I supports the healthcare team by planning and implementing care interventions to promote high-quality patient care, efficiency, and safety. The role involves patient assistance, emotional support, and timely documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, explaining procedures, administering medications, performing basic care, collecting specimens, and maintaining sterile environments.

Qualifications

• LPN license in NY is required.
• 1–2 years of LPN experience.
• Completion of LPN certificate program.
• IV and/or phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and escort patients for exams and procedures.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and physician instructions to patients.
• Administer medications, including injections and IV therapy within licensure.
• Provide basic patient care and wound management.
• Enter patient data into the EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintain medical inventory and supply ordering.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
