Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking an Offsite Licensed Practical Nurse in Greenlawn, NY for a full-time day shift. The role supports planning, implementing care, and promoting high-quality patient care, including administering medications and assisting physicians.

Responsibilities include patient prep, specimen collection, charting, scheduling follow-ups, and inventory management while operating under physician or RN supervision. BLS and NY LPN license required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a New York state LPN license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active BLS from American Heart Association.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of biology, anatomy and physiology; basic medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Escort patient into exam room and introduce self.
• Prepare patient for exams and procedures.
• Explain treatments, medications, diets and physician instructions.
• Administer medications and IV therapy within licensure.
• Provide basic patient care (wounds, catheters, dressings).
• Enter patient data accurately into the computer.
