Job summary

GetHired, Inc. is seeking an Offshore Safety Representative to oversee safety for offshore construction and related operations. The role includes on-site safety oversight, inspections, and alignment with regulatory and customer requirements.

The candidate will participate in JSAs/JHAs, pre-job planning, and safety meetings while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring proper PPE usage and incident reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of offshore safety experience.
• Experience in offshore oil and gas, marine construction, crane operations, or related fields preferred.
• OSHA requirements and offshore safety practices knowledge.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily onsite safety oversight for offshore operations.
• Monitor compliance with safety requirements.
• Identify unsafe conditions and initiate corrective actions.
• Exercise Stop Work Authority when needed.
• Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Participate in JSAs/JHAs and pre-job planning.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure PPE availability.
• Report incidents and participate in investigations.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
