Job summary

Transocean is seeking an experienced professional to supervise the maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment aboard our offshore vessels. You will ensure safe and efficient operation of all technical systems, while maintaining a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship.

The role reports to the 1st Assistant Engineer and supervises the 3rd Assistant Engineer and a Motor Operator.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and relevant craft certificate.
• Military discharge preferred for U.S. applicants.
• Graduate of trade school or university where applicable.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Knowledge of technical calculations for safe operation of the drilling unit.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel.
• Ensure safe, environmentally responsible operation of rig equipment and processes.
