Job summary

Transocean is seeking a 3rd Assistant Engineer to assist in maintaining and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel. You will report to the 2nd Assistant Engineer and supervise the Motor Operator, contributing to safe and reliable operations at sea.

The role requires a high school diploma or trade/advanced education, a valid 3rd Engineer Unlimited License, basic computer skills, and a commitment to safety, with duties ranging from daily inspections to fault

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with formal education proof.
• Military discharge may be preferred for U.S. candidates.
• Trade school or university education preferred where applicable.
• Knowledge of technical calculations required for mechanical operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance according to AIM guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and repair drilling equipment and tools.
• Ensure safety, compliance with HSE requirements and participate in drills.
