Job summary

Transocean Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Driller to support drilling operations on offshore rigs in the United States. You will assist the Driller in operating drilling and mud circulating equipment, while promoting Transocean's shared values and safety culture.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus relevant certifications and medical clearance. You will work closely with Derrickhand and Floorhand, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (U.S.) or equivalent relevant craft certificate.
• Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
• Knowledge of technical calculations required for safe drilling operations.
• Valid well control certificate as defined by training matrix.
• Norway-specific qualifications per Havtil Regulations (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Driller by operating drilling and mud equipment as instructed.
• Promote company safety values and adhere to policies.
• Provide guidance to Derrickhand, Pumphand and Floorhand; maintain logs and records.
• Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and emergency drills.
