Transocean is seeking a 2nd Assistant Engineer to supervise the maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel. You will ensure safe operation, environmental protection and effective control of technical systems, reporting to the 1st Assistant Engineer.

You will lead the 3rd Assistant Engineer and a Motor Operator, participate in safety drills, and support compliance with HSE requirements.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2nd Engineer Unlimited License (Class 2 Motor > 3000kW).
• Military discharge preferred for U.S. roles.
• Trade school/university education preferred where relevant.
• Valid medical exam and vaccination certificates.
• Basic computer skills and safety-minded approach.
• Knowledge of calculations for safe operation of drilling units.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise maintenance and repair of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment onboard the vessel.
• Exercise effective control of technical and mechanical aspects with emphasis on safety and environment.
• Report to 1st Assistant Engineer and supervise 3rd Assistant Engineer and Motor Operator.
• Attend required safety and operational meetings and drills.
• Coordinate with First Engineer and other departments to ensure safe operations and compliance.
