Qualifications

• Experience with offset printing procedures, materials, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specs to determine required press setup materials.
• Knowledge of press capabilities and proper adjustments for efficient runs.
• Familiarity with measuring tools like micrometers and setting up plates correctly.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain single or multi-color offset press.
• Perform make-ready tasks: hang plates, install cylinders, inspect plates for imperfections, adjust tension and registration.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments to meet quality specifications; clean and maintain the press; replace worn parts as needed.
• Perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance.
