Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners in Merrifield, VA seeks an Office Manager to lead daily operations of the practice, supervise staff, and ensure efficient patient care. You’ll drive billing, scheduling, and regulatory compliance while aligning with regional plans and community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 4 years or a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field.
  • Post graduate Degree: Masters in Healthcare Administration, preferred.
  • 3+ years experience as an office manager in a healthcare setting.
  • 2 years experience in a dermatology practice, preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, required.
  • Basic knowledge of medical billing coding, CPT and ICD-10, required.
  • Management and organizational skills to support leadership.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; HIPAA guidelines.

  • Resolves medical-administrative issues and maintains staff morale.

COVID-19 vaccination NOT required for this position.Job SummaryOffice Managers work closely with the providers of a medical practice or clinic, along with their Regional Practice Manager, to ensure effective, quality patient care is provided. This involves all aspects of the daily operations of the practice or clinic. These medical professionals are in charge of making sure the practice is running smoothly and successfully.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides leadership in implementing the organizations business plans for the practice / clinic.Recommends, develops, implements improvements for the practice.Informs Regional Practice Managers about current trends, problems and medical activities to facilitate policy making.Establishes, secures approval and overseas clinic operating policies and procedures.Assists providers to ensure all resources are available for quality patient care.Oversees efforts for recruitment, development, performance evaluation of employees.Oversees the business and financial affairs of the clinic and fiscal management in conjunction with the practice CPA.Oversees and manages the billing and collection process within the practice / clinic.Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment without jeopardizing important innovation or quality of care.Ensures clinic compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and the rules of accrediting bodies.Continually monitors operations, programs, physical properties; initiates appropriate changes under the direction the Regional Practice Manager.Encourages community education by initiation participation in health fairs and events to promote awareness.
