Job summary

Sacbar is seeking an experienced Office Manager for our Irvine ophthalmology practice. You will lead the administrative team, oversee non-clinical operations, and ensure efficient patient flow within a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive office management experience in healthcare or medical office
  • Experience with EHR systems (ophthalmology platforms a plus)
  • Strong billing and collections knowledge, including insurance and patient accounts
  • Direct experience with MIPS reporting and quality metrics
  • Solid HR background including hiring, staff development, and employee management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, physicians, and staff
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems
  • High school diploma required; college degree or healthcare administration certification preferred

Responsibilities

About the Practice
We are a well-established, patient-focused ophthalmology practice in Irvine, CA, dedicated to providing exceptional eye care in a warm and professional environment. We are seeking an experienced and personable Office Manager to lead our administrative team and ensure smooth, efficient daily operations.

Position Summary

The Office Manager will oversee all non-clinical aspects of the practice, including office operations, staff supervision, billing, EHR management, MIPS compliance, and human resources functions. This is a key leadership role that requires strong organizational skills, excellent people skills, and healthcare administration experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily office operations and workflow to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality service
  • Supervise, mentor, and support administrative and front-office staff
  • Oversee patient scheduling, registration, and overall patient experience
  • Manage billing, collections, insurance verification, and revenue cycle processes
  • Maintain and optimize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
  • Ensure MIPS (Merit-based Incentive Payment System) reporting and compliance
  • Handle human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Monitor and control office expenses, supplies, and vendor relationships
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and other healthcare regulations
  • Collaborate with the physicians and clinical team to support practice goals
  • Address patient concerns and resolve operational issues promptly
