About Purposeful Design

At Purposeful Design, we transform lives by providing meaningful employment to men overcoming homelessness, addiction, incarceration, and broken relationships. Through our handcrafted furniture business, we teach valuable woodworking and life skills while offering exposure to faith. As a sustainable non-profit, our commercial furniture sales generate 85% of our operating costs, allowing us to continue rebuilding lives from hopelessness to promise.

Role Overview

We're looking for an Office Manager & Delivery Coordinator who will keep our operations running smoothly while helping fulfill our mission. This is an in-person position based at our Indianapolis facility. You'll report to both our VP of Production and CFO, serving as a critical link between our customer-facing operations and internal administration. This role gives you the chance to directly support both our business operations and the men in our Transitional Employment Program. You'll be the person who ensures our beautiful furniture reaches its destination while helping maintain the supportive environment that makes our work possible.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate Deliveries & Logistics

Plan and oversee furniture deliveries from project kick-off through installation

  • Conduct site visits to develop delivery plans and ensure smooth execution
  • Lead on-site for major installations and supervise our Delivery Lead
  • Handle warranty and repair requests with excellence
  • Coordinate fleet maintenance and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Manage Office Operations

Oversee building maintenance, security, and facilities management

  • Maintain our showroom and office spaces to reflect our quality standards
  • Process invoices and assist with month-end accounting tasks
  • Keep our team supplied with the tools they need to succeed
  • Support Our Mission & People

Participate in our Transitional Employment Program, helping men rebuild their lives

  • Assist with onboarding, training coordination, and HR record-keeping
  • Live out our "Others First" value through mentoring and encouragement
  • Sales team support, including event coordination, samples, and handling customer inquiries.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in office management, logistics, or related fields
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn our systems

  • Background in facilities management or HR functions
  • Experience with accounting processes and customer service

Work Location

This position requires daily in-person presence at our Indianapolis facility. Regular on-site attendance is essential for coordinating deliveries, managing office operations, and supporting our mission through direct interaction with our team members and program participants.
