Co-Owner of Liberty Tax Financial Services

Pay: $18 per hour

Status: Part-Time / Full-Time

Start Date: Immediately

Location: Columbia, MO

Summary

Liberty Tax, a leader in professional tax services, is seeking an Office Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our local office. Our mission is to be trusted locally and respected nationally, providing top-tier tax and financial services that clients can rely on. The Office Supervisor will maintain high standards of service and professionalism, fostering a welcoming and efficient office environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Team Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage office staff, including tax preparers, bookkeepers, and administrative personnel, ensuring a collaborative and productive work environment.
  2. Operational Oversight: Oversee daily office operations, ensure compliance with company policies and tax laws, and manage scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation for efficiency.
  3. Customer Service Excellence: Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service by training staff to provide expert tax advice.
  4. Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions for new and existing staff to stay updated on tax laws and filing practices.
  5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor office performance, implement strategies to improve productivity and client satisfaction.
  6. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to reinforce our reputation and aid in client retention and acquisition.
Qualifications
  1. Experience: Proven experience in office management, supervisory roles, or relevant positions, preferably in tax preparation or financial services.
  2. Skills: Strong leadership, organizational skills, excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and assistance with bookkeeping.
  3. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.
  4. Certifications: Eligibility to obtain or renew an IRS Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  5. Personal Traits: Commitment to excellent customer service, multitasking ability, and strong ethics in handling confidential information.
