Job description

Office Administrator (part-time) at ECAD

Join to apply for the Office Administrator (part-time) role at ECAD, Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities.

This position is suitable for an energetic, amicable, and highly organized individual who supports the Director of Development & Communications and staff. The role involves working independently and as part of various teams, serving as the first face and voice of ECAD to many donors and prospective donors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a neat and orderly office and storage area.
  • Process donations, send acknowledgments, and manage donor journeys.
  • Type correspondence including emails, faxes, memos, and letters.
  • Maintain office equipment such as postage meters, fax machines, copiers, and computers.
  • Manage employee Time and Attendance, payroll, and onboarding of new hires.
  • Assist with large mailings, shipments, and coordinate volunteers as needed.
  • Assist accounting with AMA reports and receipts.
  • Maintain office supplies, filing, and email accounts.
  • Manage and update relevant data using database applications.
  • Represent the organization at various events as requested.
  • Manage eCommerce products, inventory, and purchases.
  • Handle various projects and activities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Four years of full-time work experience and/or higher education.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • At least two years of clerical or administrative experience.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 WPM.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of office machines and telephone systems.
  • Sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities.
  • High discretion with confidential information.
Education & Experience:

At least 2 years working in a nonprofit or a total of four years of full-time work and/or higher education.

Language Skills:
  • Ability to present information effectively in a prescribed style.
  • Ability to respond in writing and prepare reports for management.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:

The role involves sitting, using hands, talking, hearing, standing, walking, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. The work environment may be loud, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
