Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an on-site Office/Accounting associate in Louisville to oversee baling of incoming recycling materials and manage related production tasks. You will assist with accounts payable/receivable, data entry, and vendor coordination while supporting health and safety initiatives.

A high school diploma or GED and basic accounting exposure are required. Responsibilities include processing invoices, maintaining records, screening calls, and supporting month-end closing.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to perform intermediate arithmetic dealing with decimals, fractions, ratios, etc.
• Must have basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the processes and baling of incoming recycling materials to ensure outbound materials are saleable.
• Assign and oversee production, safety, and housekeeping duties.
• Assist with daily scale operations or Office Manager duties as needed.
• Produce weekly shipment lists for inbound and outbound loads.
• Data entry into multiple operating systems for safety, financial, and other components.
