Job summary

OHuddle seeks a dedicated VISTA to develop sustainable resources for expanded mentorship programs in Off Site Schools, using OHuddle’s 1:1 Developmental Asset model to boost community involvement and improve student outcomes.

The VISTA will recruit volunteers, build partnerships with schools, and help launch two new district mentorship sites while gaining extensive training on assets, poverty, and trauma.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in community outreach or youth development is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of education settings is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• The VISTA will develop sustainable resources for expanded mentorship programming in Off Site Schools based on OHuddle’s 1:1 Developmental Asset model, aiming to increase community involvement in schools and improve educational outcomes.
• The VISTA will assess and develop tools for volunteer/mentor recruitment to ensure best matches with students referred by school partners, reducing barriers of trauma and poverty.
