College Possible Texas seeks a Development Capacity Builder VISTA to strengthen communications, volunteer engagement, and fundraising systems. You will craft digital content and storytell to broaden organizational visibility and sustainable support.

The role emphasizes collaboration, campaign support, and community partnerships within a hybrid work setting, with occasional evenings/weekends to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (fields such as communications, marketing, public administration, or sociology preferred).
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
• Interest in education, nonprofits, fundraising, and community engagement.
• Comfort managing multiple projects and collaborating across teams.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; experience with social media or communication tools a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage social media, blog, and e-news content that highlights student impact and organizational initiatives
• Support storytelling efforts by developing compelling written and visual content for community and donor engagement
• Assist with volunteer engagement activities, including event coordination, onboarding materials, and tracking systems
• Help strengthen fundraising and outreach efforts through campaign support, donor communications, and community partnerships
• Develop systems and resources that improve communication workflows and volunteer engagement sustainability
