Job summary

MENTOR Nebraska seeks a dedicated VISTA member to help turn strategic priorities into action by researching, developing, and piloting new engagement approaches with partners and youth. You will conduct surveys, focus groups, and interviews with mentoring programs, youth, and community partners to identify needs and barriers, creating reproducible templates and resources.

Throughout the service year you will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit strategy, community engagement, youth leadership

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple partners and stakeholders.
• Experience in nonprofit settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advance Year 1 priorities by researching, developing, and piloting engagement systems.
• Conduct surveys, focus groups, and interviews with mentoring organizations, youth, and partners.
• Develop reproducible templates and resources to strengthen statewide capacity and sustainability.
• Coordinate peer-learning pilots and share findings with stakeholders.
