Job summary

Proof of the Pudding is seeking an Event Captain to lead Front of House at off-premise events in the Atlanta metro area. This part-time role reports to the Operations Manager and HR, and requires travel to multiple venues throughout the region.

Key responsibilities include setting up tables and buffets, managing service timing, delegating tasks, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a food & beverage team is required.
• Experience in off-premise catering is preferred.
• Must be effective at multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the setting of tables/buffets are accurate according to diagram and/or sample table.
• Manage time effectively to ensure all BEO items are completed prior to service times.
• Delegate tasks to team members based on their positions and talents.
• Manage the team that is scheduled to run each event.
• Set up buffet stations with décor, linens, and china.
• Unload/load off-premise event trucks safely and effectively.
• Communicate with and check in on the client throughout the event.
• Serve and clear food and beverages professionally and quickly.
