University of Michigan seeks an Off Campus Non-Profit Student Employee- Collections Assistant (Fall Work Study Only) to support the Collections Department at Sloan Discovery Museum. Responsibilities include documentation, data entry, and assisting with preservation, storage, and display projects under the Archivist or Collections Manager.
Eligible undergraduate students will gain experience in museum ethics, storage practices, and project-based work in a collaborative environment with staff
Must be eligible for Work Study Fall 2026. This is a position with an off campus agency, Sloan Discovery Museum, as a Collections Assistant which is a support role within the Collections Department. The Collection Assistant will work closely with the Archivist or Collections Manager and other staff to support projects that improve the preservation, storage, and display of historic collections within the museum.
