Job summary

The Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort, managed by HEI Hotels & Resorts, seeks an accomplished Sous Chef to oversee daily production, procurement and presentation of hotel restaurant and room service offerings. You will lead kitchen staff, ensure safety, quality, and cost controls while maintaining HEI standards.

Two or more years post-high school culinary education, five+ years in related roles, hotel experience preferred, strong leadership and communication skills, and ability to manage

• Five+ years of employment in a related position.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily kitchen production for hotel restaurant and room service.
• Lead and develop kitchen staff, schedule, coach and evaluate performance.
• Maintain sanitation, equipment upkeep and safety compliance.
• Monitor labor and food costs; report on budget performance.
• Assist Executive Chef with menu costing and seasonal adaptations.
