Job summary

Cape Rey Carlsbad Beach, A Hilton Resort & Spa, in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a Steward to maintain cleanliness and support culinary operations. You will wash dishes, assist with food preparation, and ensure proper handling and storage of food and supplies.

You will work in a fast-paced hotel kitchen, collaborating with the culinary team to uphold food safety standards and a smooth workflow, while contributing to guest experiences at the oceanfront resort.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Steward or in a similar role preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the culinary team by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dishwashing area.
• Assist with food preparation and plating as needed.
• Ensure the proper handling and storage of food and supplies.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow.
