Job summary

Montreal Beach Resort in Cape May seeks a Kitchen Steward to support our culinary team with dishwashing and cleaning duties. You will help maintain spotless kitchens and assist with deliveries in a fast-paced beachside environment.

Join our team and contribute to a fun culture at a landmark Jersey Shore resort. This role requires physical stamina and dedication to safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storing items.
• Follow safety and chemical handling procedures.
• Support culinary team with dishwashing and prep as needed.

Responsibilities

• Know, understand, and adhere to company established policies and procedures.
• Wash dishes, pots, and small wares in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• To properly store and handle glassware, china, and silverware to prevent breakage.
• To maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas.
• To remove trash in kitchen and outside areas and place in appropriate containers as specified by Company policy and procedures.
• To know how to use and apply all chemicals in a safe manner.
• To assist the kitchen Chef in the preparation of food when asked.
• To assist the Chef in receiving deliveries of food and related products.
• Operates kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
