Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Server to assist the Banquet Manager in serving guests during events at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort. You will set up the portable bar, prepare and serve drinks, and ensure a positive guest experience.

The role requires the ability to read and follow Banquet Event Orders, comply with hotel policies and alcohol-service regulations, and maintain bar cleanliness throughout functions.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience or similar preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Must have basic knowledge of service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in hands to prepare garnish, handle glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders to determine function, guests, and bar type.
• Set up portable bar in function area according to policies.
• Make and serve drinks following guidelines and safety controls.
• Abide by State, Federal and Corporate alcohol-service requirements.
• Remove trash and glassware; return bar to storeroom and keep area clean.
• Attend regular work schedule and perform other duties as assigned.
