HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking an attentive Banquet Attendant to assist the Banquet Manager during events at The Historic Cavalier Hotel and Beach Club. You will help set up, greet guests, serve courses and beverages, and ensure a seamless dining experience while adhering to service standards and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and strong communication, with opportunities to contribute to guest satisfaction and the overall event success at this iconic Virginia

Qualifications

• Hotel experience preferred.
• Must be willing to pitch in and help coworkers.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Knowledge of table settings and serviceware.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet room with linen, serviceware and glassware.
• Attend roll call and learn function specifics and guest expectations.
• Greet guests and respond to requests courteously.
• Serve food and beverages per supervisor's instructions and maintain consistency.
• Replace dishes and reset room after each function.
• Comply with all alcohol service regulations and safety rules.
