Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Set-Up associate at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront property. Assist the Banquet Manager to prepare for events and ensure a flawless guest experience.

You will set up and break down meeting rooms, transport heavy furniture, and maintain cleanliness throughout shifts. The role requires significant physical activity, the ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs, and the flexibility to work regular hours, with tipping/service-charge eligibility.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs and up to 500 lbs with a hand cart or truck.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for coordinating with supervisors and guests.
• Position requires significant physical activity including standing and moving furniture throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Banquet Manager in preparing for banquet guests and ensure a positive guest experience.
• Set up meeting rooms to guest specifications, including transporting staging, tables, chairs, and other equipment.
• Supply and replenish meeting rooms with clean glasses and water.
• Break down meeting rooms after events and return items to storage.
• Maintain a clean, presentable setup and adhere to the cleaning schedule.
• Be available to work regularly and follow attendance rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
