Job summary

Travelers Insurance in the United States is seeking an Account Executive for Ocean Marine. You will partner with agents and brokers to provide new and renewal coverage, manage profitability and growth, and negotiate accounts with a focus on risk management.

The role requires strong underwriting skills, relationship-building, and the ability to travel for in-person meetings with partners to drive sales and retention. A CPCU designation and relevant Ocean Marine experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Two years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Three to five years of Ocean Marine underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of Ocean Marine products and local insurance market.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-sell.
• Meet agents and brokers in person to market Travelers products and write business.
• Identify and capture new opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and regional plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
