Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of Ocean Marine underwriting experience.
• Knowledge of Ocean Marine products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• CPCU designation and strong analytical decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of a book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain internal partnerships to create sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Maintain external relationships with agents/brokers; travel for meetings.
• Identify new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency and regional sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
