Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer for Ocean Marine. The role partners with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business, relying on strong risk assessment, decisive negotiation, and regional market knowledge to drive profitability.

You will build and maintain relationships with internal partners and external agents, travel for meetings, and lead sales plans to align with Travelers’ risk appetite and growth goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with Ocean Marine.
• CPCU designation.
• Deep knowledge of Ocean Marine products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain internal and external relationships to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Travel to meet agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director.
