Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive for Ocean Marine to manage a profitable book, underwrite and negotiate client accounts, and build strong internal and external relationships. You should travel to meet agents and brokers, market Travelers products, and pursue growth while maintaining risk alignment.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years of Ocean Marine underwriting experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and CPCU or equivalent credentials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3–5 years of underwriting experience with Ocean Marine exposure.
• Knowledge of Ocean Marine products and regulatory environment.
• Strong critical thinking to analyze risks and opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned Ocean Marine book.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Travel to meet agents/brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
