Staffmark Group is hiring an Ocean Import Agent in Bensenville, IL. The role operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, offering $20.00–$25.00 per hour and a path to growth within a professional team.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with logistics coursework preferred. Candidates should have 1–2 years in ocean imports or logistics, strong typing skills, and proficient Excel/Outlook usage to support documentation, tracking, and billing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Additional coursework in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or Transportation preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor ocean import shipments from arrival through final delivery.
• Track and trace import files to ensure timely movement of freight.
• Enter shipment data accurately into company operating systems.
• Prepare and distribute import documentation for customers, customs brokers, and vendors.
• Communicate with customers regarding shipment status and import requirements.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, trucking companies, warehouses, and customs brokers.
• Process billing and ensure accurate invoicing of customers and vendors.
• Maintain compliance with customs regulations, company procedures, and operational standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and meet departmental KPI goals.
