Job summary

CEVA Logistics is hiring an Ocean Import Agent in the United States. You will route outbound ocean freight shipments, manage shipment files, and prepare documents and charges for shipments.

The role requires knowledge of sea freight, good negotiation skills, and the ability to handle documentation and regulatory compliance efficiently. Strong attention to detail and timely communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sea freight products and processes.
• Ability to learn all aspects of team responsibilities and provide cover when needed.
• Experience with import/export documentation and shipping systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the flow of ocean freight shipments to overseas destinations.
• Open files in the dedicated software system for each shipment.
• Ship freight, prepare documentation, waybills, and assess charges.
• Negotiate with domestic and foreign customers to reach mutual agreements.
• Review invoices and shipping documents for tariff and regulatory compliance.
• Verify invoices, bills of lading, and weights/volumes in systems.
