AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Ocean Import Agent II to manage the day-to-day import of international freight into the USA across all modes. The role emphasizes operational excellence and a world-class customer experience.

The incumbent coordinates quotations, validates documents, tracks vessel milestones, and ensures timely customs release while supporting profitability analyses and invoicing. This position is based in Palatine, IL and offers growth within a global team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years freight forwarding experience preferred.
• Dangerous Goods Certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of CargoWise.
• Advanced math & geography skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day Import operations for international shipments into the USA.
• Obtain quotations from vendors/agents and confirm acceptance.
• Track vessel schedules and update milestones in the system.
• Ensure timely ISF filing and document validation.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure service excellence.
• Manage costing, profitability checks, and final invoicing.
